This is an exciting volunteer opportunity funded by the Sussex Wildlife
Trust and the Prince's Countryside Fund. This training programme is
aimed at motivated young people with an interest in wildlife and
conservation. The successful applicant will learn skills needed to
manage protected nature reserves across a variety of habitats,
undertaking a Level 2 Diploma in Environmental Conservation and gaining
qualifications in NPTC Chainsaw, Brushcutter, Pesticide, First Aid, off
road driving etc. Applicants must be willing to work as part of a team,
with a variety of groups and be able to use their own initiative.
Applicants must also demonstrate a desire to learn new skills and show a
personal commitment to complete the training over one year.

Due to the type of funding received, this post is aimed at young people
(aged 18-25 years) living in or very near to Sussex.
